OP: not sure if you have any experience with bedliner, but it doesn't clean up well. You'll never get all the trapped dirt and grime out. It adds a ton of weight, and yeah...totally ruins the resale value of the Jeep. Not to mention it fades in the sun.

its a toss up between linex and body arm skins. kinda leaning towards the body armor skins at this point. only thing i wonder with those if water, road salt, etc gets between the skin and metal if it would cause rust?!

several companies make fender skins.
i want to do this because i have an 07 jk, paint is old and scratched, have a few dings, dents. dont want to repaint which is why i was thinkin skins as they would be functional.

Ok fair enough. Just remember you're bolting extra weight on. Personally I think the door skins are super tacky. Fender and corner skins look cool. To each their own, but unless your paint is really that nasty...I wouldn't do it.
I just threw corners on my Jeep a few months ago, and I definitely wouldn't want my entire Jeep covered in them. Besides all the holes you drill (which opens doors for corrosion), you'll need to take them off every few months to wash all the caught debris out. Some people put silicone/a sealant between the skins and the paint, but I wouldn't do that either. That'll make it harder to remove the skins, and it'll trap all the crap and moisture in.
