Attachment 610564 Thanks for looking, guys. Just installed a Rough Country 6'' lift with these aftermarket drivelines (not Rough Country). My question is, are these slip yokes sticking out too far? These drivelines were made by the driveline shop supposedly specifically to fit a 6'' lift. What do you guys think? :dontknow2: |
Yes it is.

You have to remember, our shafts compress as the suspension cycles. I think you maybe ok.

I keep getting conflicting responses. My local driveline shop said the splines should be inside the slip yoke at least to where the poly coating ends. My buddy who is ASE master certified and has his own shop said it should be fine the way it is..........

That's a Tatton shaft? Dig up an email address on their website and send the pic. They will tell you it is fine.
I had the same concern with my Woods shaft, I sent the pic, and he took the time to call me about my concerns. 5 years, no issues ... |

Take the suspension to full droop, if the driveline falls apart, its too short.
Thats my drunk redneck logic, and it has worked for over ten years. |

Correct, as you droop a short arms set up the shaft will compress. As you stuff it gets longer but from the photo I would not be concerned.
