Drop in k&n on 3.6l
Any gains to be had from a drop filter on a 2012.
|
I picked up a Aem dryflo drop in and at first i picked up a mile per gallon, after a couple tanks that seemed to drop off a bit, but still have an average gain of about .5 MPG. Its not much but i can clean it when i need to.

Cool thanks for the reply

I have one, i never check for fuel gains but the engine breaths better and its serviceable.
|
I got the K&N just so I can clean it and not buy another filter.
|
I will probably get it when I change the oil

I'm getting the k&n filter soon, it's twice as much but it will pay for itself in the long run since you can clean it

Do you have to run the K&N's oiled? Or can they be dry?

Where did you get the AEM Dryflo drop-in? Do you have the part number? I'm not big on the oiled filters, but would like a good lifetime filter...
I got it from a major online store that starts with an A......but you can probably get it anywhere |
