Default E-85 Conversions?

Does anyone know if there are companies offering conversion kits or even if it is feasible to have the JK converted to run e-85? I have heard the there are only two things that would need to be converted: fuel hoses, and the throttle assemly. Does anyone have direct knowledge of how expensive it would be to do a conversion? E-85 has just arrived in my area and would like to consider it.

Although E85 has an octain rating of 105, I don't believe it burns as effeciently in our JK engines as standard gas with an octain of 87.
I also believe that E85 contains more than 10% alcohol, using it may void your waranty. I would check before switching over.

If your looking to save money on fuel then E85 is not the way to go. It's much less efficient. The money you think you save per gallon won't add up to the severe decline in MPG. If your looking at saving the planet by using less gas then think about the food (corn)that's being used to make it? Notice an increase in your groceries? The big ethanol push is slowing rapidly since it takes as much energy to produce it as it creates. Unless your getting ethanol from beets or sugar cane than your wasting your time.

Why? It's already been known for a while that MAKING E85 produces MORE co2 than just running gasoline. It's been all over the news for quite some time. Where've you been?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but havn't almost all manyfacturers gone away from using alcohol unfriendlly rubber components?

I could be wrong, but I remember a whole issue with older diesels being similar when they ran Biodiesel.

E-85 $2.45 a gallon. 87 octane gas $4.17 I wonder how may tanks it would take to save enough to buy a whole new engine.

You need new injectors. Hoses should not matter. Cost is around 500 for a complete kit.

One winter, a long time ago, we fed the cows sugar beets to save a few bucks(a real bad hay year), and all the milk was tinted pink!

I know, has nothing to do with the thread, just the memory made me
