ESP with new tires.
Yes, typed it from what the dealer sent me in the mail. When I got the recall for the transmission hot engine light. It came with another sheet Labeled; (Disabling Electronic Stability Program(ESP) for Modified Vehicles) 4wd models only.
I have not disabled mine. It use to turn on all the time but it hasn't came on in awhile. Just did a little search on the ESP and this is what I found. It explains it.
" How ESP works
The Electronic Stability Program from Chrysler is a fairly complex piece of engineering. The aim of this system was to move beyond a safety program which was only active during acceleration. ESP is armed as soon as the vehicle is started, and sensor data is gathered at all times. This data is fed into an active computer model which compares the standard behavior of the vehicle’s driver against the actual driving situation as reported by the sensor information. The model is adaptive and learns the driving habits of the vehicle owner, using this information to generate the baseline of safe values to use for comparison purposes. Through this methodology, the ESP system is designed to rapidly react to any deviations between expected values and the condition of the vehicle. This computer model sets the Chrysler Electronic Stability Program apart from other, more basic brake and throttle management stability control systems.
Information such as vehicle speed, braking intensity, pitch and yaw and traction are all taken into consideration. Wheel speed is determined by the same sensors that are used to help the anti-lock braking system (ABS) system choose where braking force should be applied. Steering angle is measured by a sensor in the steering column that notes the position of the steering wheel relative to the actual direction of the vehicle as determined by the yaw sensor. A sensor measuring the lateral acceleration of a vehicle is used to ascertain if the vehicle is in the middle of a skid or not. All of these factors are calculated extremely rapidly by the central processing unit of the ESP system, since at highway speeds even milliseconds can result in a significant amount of distance traveled."

You can either turn it off. Or just live with it...
To turn off:
Shift transfer case into 4 High
Turn steering wheel until it is centered and wheel are pointed staight ahead
Cycle the Ing key off to on
Wait approximately. 5 sec for the system bulb check
turn and hold the steering wheel one half turn to the right clockwise
press and hold the ESP off button for 7 sec.
turn the steering wheel back to center,& turn & hold an additional one half turn to the left counter clockwise
press and hold the the ESP off button for 7 sec.
turn the wheel back to center
press and hold the ESP off for 7 sec.
Cycle the Ing key to off.
Repeat the same process to turn it back on.

"ESP OFF" message maybe ?
Cant hear or see anything and it doesn't seem to be working on my 2010
good thing it's not an 07' like mine..it cost me 140 bucks to have it flashed so I could shut it off completely,,,not until 08' did they make it so you could do it yourself without being flashed
brilliant
brilliant

I hope its a sponsor..

I'll try it again soon and should be ok.
After performing the ESP disable procedure correctly, "ESP OFF" will be displayed in the odometer for approximately 12 seconds each time the ignition is moved to on.
I would just leave it be. Mine used to come on every time I came off the highway on the ramp to my house. But after a few weeks of doing it. It just quit coming on and had not since. The ESP is pretty smart and will learn your driving habits.

the 07's are being used as guinea pigs
