Default ESP Will this fix problem?

I know there has been some talk re: ESP and I just installed a 4" lift on my unlimited. My steering wheel is off by about 1/2 turn and my ESP light goes on and off. Im getting an allignment tomorrow- do I need to tell them anything to do anything special so that the ESP switch does not come on anymore?

you can adjust the drag link enough to turn it off you know.
loosen the 2 9/16 nuts on the drag link coupler and rotate the coupler "up ward" around 4 complete times or until the wheels are strait and so is the steering. and then tighten those 2 nuts.

Also I was wondering should I it up: taking the weight off the front end?

You don't have to have the weight off the ground, and I was able to turn mine by hand, but try channel locks if not.

pair O' vice grips

or a strap wrench if you have one. I used a RoboGrip pliers.

and no, it should be with weight on the wheels. turn the adjuster "up" (that will make the drag link longer) a few times. stop. cycle the wheels back and forth and check again. adjust as needed.

I actualy drive mine out of the driveway, circle, and allow the wheel to self straiten as I pull back in the driveway and see how much more I have to go.

Did you have ESP problems after your lift- or did you drive it at all before adjusting steering wheel?

put on lift, drove around the block, got ESP/skidmarkthing lights.

pulled in driveway, adjusted drag link, drove around block, lights went away.

Brought to dealer for an alignment anyway.

Thanks for the vote of confidence- I was having a hard time reassuring my self that the alignment was going to work. I was preparing to ask my dealer to dis-able if possible. I should know more tomorrow evening, I am dropping it off at a shop near my workin the a.m. . I hope that fixes it!
