I want to add some underbody protection on my 4 door JK.
So far I narrowed down to two choices below.
The River Raider one has additional protection on gas tank, but the price
is extremely high compared to Protek, besides, if I order it with coating, it
will cost 300 dollars more...

Which one would you choose?

##############
Off Road Evolution JK 07-11, Full Protek Skid System - Manual
(PROTEK-MANUAL-KIT)
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...TEK-MANUAL-KIT
$460 painted
##############

##############
River Raider Skid Plates- Complete System
ht tp://www.riverraider.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=38_55&product_id=65
$900 Without coating
##############

I went with the evo. It looks like the stock tank skid is pretty good.

I have heard this as well.. I am planning to skid up underneath as well. I am planning evo kit as well.. I know i have landed on my tank skid multiple times..

I have the EVO Protek and they fit great and cover everything that is necessary. :yup: Not sure that I would consider paying twice the price and still have to finish them myself.

I cannot speak about the River Raider, but I have the EVO skids and they are well designed and built and look like they will do the job. I'd have to be able to justify the additional $440 plus finish before I went with the others.

I've got the full river raider system. Never installed. I would be willing to offer a substantial discount if your interested. I got em raw and painted everything but the gas tank skid with duplicolor bedliner for easy touch up.

You only got half a skid system compared to the RR setup, so it's actually not that , I bet if EVO included the rest of those skids it would most likely cost more than $900. jus saying. The RR setup goes all the way back covers everything and includes a huge gas tank skid so they are or would be both relatively close in price and protection. I do wish EVO would make something like covers everything underneath. :yup:

I bet it would cost more if it covered everything but IMO you would be paying twice because the stock tank skid is more than enough.

That is why I picked up skids. I beat the piss out of the stock gas tank skid and it was pushing up on the tank. I did this with mild wheeling.
