Just make sure they hub centric and have good studs. I'm coming from the VW scene where guys would use cheap spacers that were not hub centric and it would make for a terrible drive and sheer off studs

Sent from my phone that Obama doesn't pay for!

I'm not saying to run them without locktite, but I have ran them on two different vehicles with no locktite and no problems. As mentioned above, usually it's installer error when you hear stories of them coming off. If you torque them properly (and make sure the factory disc brake rotor retainer clip is removed) you shouldn't have problems. As I mentioned, don't take my word for it. If you use a good quality spacer, and install them like the instructions say, you'll be just fine.

I've been running spacers on my corvette since 1986. Also running them on a Trans Am for last 5 years. Never a problem. I agree it's user error that causes problems.

Also bought my spyder trax used from a forum member for 100 and have had no issues, only thing I recommend is red loctite and 80-90 ft lbs of torque and check them whenever you change your oil/rotate tires..... I've had no issues whatsoever

I've been running 1.5" alloy brand spacers for a few years now and wheel occasionally, but pretty hard when I go. I've had no issues with them so far and used blue locktite when I installed them.

I have spidertrax 1.5" no issues and never have I had a loose lug when rechecking. I was a little irked my tire shop would not install new tires unless I either carried the old tires/rims in or removed the spacers first. The manager said it is a new policy and tire shops are now getting fined if they get caught. He said same with mounting tires on vehicles with disabled tpms sensors. He said one disgruntled employee that turns him in and it is his job and a $10000 fine to the shop. I have been dealing with this shop since the 70's and have known the manager for over 45 years.

I run Synergy 1.75 wheel spacers and have had no issues with them. Like everyone else has said, just make sure to use loctite and check them about ever tire rotation/ oil change and you'll be fine.

The short answer is there is nothing wrong with using quality spacers when installed properly but there are limitations to everything.

Running 37s and that much backspacing, coupled with spacers, you are just begging for trouble. I would definitely do the steering stops over the spacers. Especially with those heavy Toyos in a 13.50

"Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing" Follow that with your axles, wheels, and tire combination.

Good luck !!
