Default Extending breather tubes

For some reason I can't find a write up on how to extend the breather lines for the differentials. Is there a write up that exists?

I don't know about a write up but its super easy. Just buy a piece of hose I think 5/16 is the correct size I just took some to the part store and matched it up. Then get a hose union I recommend metal and some hose clamps. Then just unplug from the housing and add the new hose on. I recommend putting a third clamp on the the axle housing to ensure it doesn't pull off. Make sure its not to long or it may get caught in the tire or axle.

If you extend the axle breathers don't forget to extend the transfer case and automatic transmission breathers too.

Mine was right behind the motor. You might have to crawl underneath and follow it hand over hand.

Default I want'a take you higher!

Did anyone do a write-up on relocating the vent tube opening higher? For some reason I thought the axle breather tube opening is down near the frame. Maybe extending the front one higher in the engine compartment and the rear up behind a tail light would be even better?

Never mind! I just watched the video. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I just did my axle vents last week. I still have to do the trans and transfer.

Here i where i moved the axle vent hoses. Will probably bring the trans and transfer to the same area.
