A hemi would be sweet. But I think for now I will just buy the $50 valve cover and write hemi on it with a silver sharpi Haha. That should get me some extra horse power. Right?

If you clean and prep properly gluing is the way to go! Install the new valve first, then push the whole thing in place. Put some wheigt on it until dry. Done! There are hardly any forces (besides heat) pulling or pushing on it! How could it fail??

After an hour and a half of pulling trying not to break anything, I cracked a chunk of the black plastic pcv holder and ripped the nipple end off the pcv. I said f'k it, put the hose back on. 2mos later no issues, pcv still works, new pcv still in box.
I figured I'd just order a new valve cover when I get around to it.

Would the oil and temperature break the jb weld bond down? My valve cover split right down the side when pulling out the hardened rubber pcv... hairline crack that just needs to be sealed

actually jb weld would be stronger then the valve cover. clean the area up real good and jb weld from top and bottom and it will last forever. Not like there is any pressure. I have jb welded motorcycle crank cases that lived many miles in harsh enviroment. It can get you by until you replace it any way.
