falken rockey mountain or BFG A/T
So I've narrowed my choices down to two tires and wanted to know what experience anyone has had aside from my own. I've had the BFG A/Ts on past jeeps and this one and love them but have been thinking of trying something new. I'll be stepping up to the 35ish size. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
So what issues have you had? They've worked flawlessly for me as a DD/weekend warror. Dealing with mud, snow, ice and rain. I'm most likely going with the falkens if I can find a deal on a set of 5.
I have had bfg's on my yj, cherokee, and most recently on my ram truck. I thought they were terrible in the mud, rain, sand, and slippery ice snow. Deeper snow they seemed okay. Compared to other at's on the same vehicles of various brands I had better luck with all others. I just put terra grapplers on my commander and really like them so far, much better in the snow and ice than bfg's. The new Toyo AT 2's look like a nice all terrain too. I have been really pleased with my duratracs on my jk.
I know lots of people say they like bfg's but I have not been impressed.

I've got the Falkens and am very happy with them. They are smooth and quiet on the road and have great traction in the rocks and desert. Not a lot of mud in So Cal so I can't tell you how well they work in there. I'm sure when these wear out I will be buying another set. I had BFG on my truck and they were nice but not nearly as quiet or smooth on the highway.
Bgf a/ts are great I don't know why people are running them down. I have had toyos, km2s, nittos, goodyears and out every tire I have had they are my favorite. Last 80k + on 3 different sets (family members and my own ) super in the snow and ice. I can go everywhere a mud tire can go with ease. Don't make a sound on the road. And prob the best looking A/T IMO . Tires are a big deal a lot bigger then people make it out to be. Its a long term investment. Right now I am running 315/70/17 bfg a/ts and I will run bfg a/ts until I dont drive a jeep any more (or truck

I run the Falken Rocky Mountains in a 315/70R17 and I love them. They do great in the snow and ice. Ive taken them out for a little light wheeling and they hold up good. I would say they seem a little heavy to me but It could just be me. Overall great tire. I also have run BFG's in both All Terrain and KM2 and I alos like BFG's I choose the Falken due to time on the road vs. offroad.
