Default Final Thoughts and decision

If my plans come together within the next month I will be ordering a lift for my 2 door to replace the sagging stock springs and spacers. I believe I have came to a decision and my decision is Rock Krawler 2.5".

I've also considered Teraflex, Rubicon Express, and AEV but I think Rock Krawler is what my heart is set on. As of now I don't do any extreme wheeling, just mild trails, service roads, scenic trails, etc. Most of my jeeps time is spend on road. Do you guys think I made the right choice with Rock Krawler? Any other things I should keep in mind or think about?

Thanks
-Austin

if possible id try to take a ride in jeeps with similar set ups that you have taken into consideration and see how you like the on road handling, choose from there. I'm sure any of them will do just fine for what you have in mind as far as off road. its going to be on road that is going to matter most.

That would be ideal but not sure if it would be easy. Most people I know have Rough Country lol

If you have ridden in jeeps with rough country lifts you should be more then pleased with rock krawler. With that said, for your type of wheeling I hear teraflex or aev would also be good options.

My jeep now has Rough Country shocks now so I'm sure really anything would be an improvement

You sound like you need a AEV lift.

The price on the AEV just seems a little high priced for what it is. The ride is praised though but is it that much improved over Rock Krawler?

What exact Rock Krawler system are you looking at?

The RK 2.5 Stock Mod - Stage 1 @ $1433 is the closest kit I can find to the AEV 2.5" Dual Sport XT @ $1000.

JK 2.5 Stock Mod - Stage 1

American Expedition Vehicles - Brute Kit, V8 HEMI, Aftermarket Jeep Conversions, Products, Wheels, Accessories and Highline Kits for Jeeps (TJ, JK, WK, XK).

I would reconsider on the teraflex. It sounds like you do a lot of the same stuff I do, and I love my teraflex. I got it with teraflex shocks, but I think if you went 2.5" teraflex with blistein 5100 shocks (or an adjustable) you'd be more than happy for less than $1000. The only thing I would do different are the teraflex shocks.

Just saw the rock krawler 2.5" stock mod with blistein 5100 shocks for $850 on Northridge.

If you're going to spend approximately $800 already and that's with the Teraflex shocks, might as well get the triple rated coils with the tuned Bilstein's for $200 more on the AEV....

Cheapest configuration on the RK 2.5 Stock Mod came to $899.98 on Northridge...
http://www.northridge4x4.com/rock-kr...r-jk25sm-2kit?

That would be worth considering compared to the AEV....
