Default Flowmaster - 50 series or 40 series

Just looking for opinions here... I have a 50 series flowmaster and like the sound, but was wondering if a 40 series would sound better. I'm looking for something a little "meaner" sounding.

I have the 40 series, guy at the shop told me it was a little louder than the 50.

I have the 40 series....it sounds a lot better than i figured it would. Kinda quiet with the top on but sounds great with the top off.

I have the 40 series and love it. It sounds great, very throaty. As I've had it over time, it's gotten better, kinds deeper. And it has a really cool burbly sound at low rpms when your off the gas, kinda hard to describe, but very cool. When I got it put on I was pretty much dead set on a super 44, but the guy at the shop told me the 40 series was the most aggressive.
I mean you have the 50 series, which is pretty good but, yeah, the 40 series is a little louder...not sure if its louder enough to justify redoing it, but it is your jeep and your decision. Good luck, hope this helps a little haha

I'm on my cell so I can't check the link. I will check it out after I get home tomorrow. Is it louder than the 40 series? What about cost compared to the 40 series?

I just went with the 50 series. I'm very happy with the sound of it. If you want an aggressive sound go with the 40. The 50 is noticeable and throaty but not at all obnoxious or loud inside the cabin. Cost wise they are the same.
