Default Front axle build up?

Ok.......I decided to get some spare shafts to keep with me on my long trips. Even though locally, I am covered under warranty, In Moab, the chances of getting an axle shaft when one breaks is very limited. I decided to look for a set of take outs from a new rubi and thanks to one of our forum members, i got a full set of fronts and rears. I was told that they are "naked". I furthermore decided to build them up with some ctm joints. Beside the joints, waht else would I need to "slap" em in on the trail. Part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

not sure if the stock rubi axles will support full c joints (which ctm's are, you might have to have the ears machined

The term "naked" probably means that the rear shafts are missing the bearings, retainers, seals, and tone rings...

Bearings, seals etc are readily available through the dealer if you can't find them online (bet you can), but that tone ring... I wanted to have a rear axle shaft to take along with me as well, but I was told the only way to get the tone ring was to buy a new axle shaft. If you do find them please let us know. I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in picking up a couple.

for a quick trail fix, would the tone ring be necessary?

CTM's will not work in your Rubi axle shafts .

They are working on a JK U-joint but they dont have it ready yet .

I guess I will just worry about the bearings and stuff for the rear. I'm just going to use them to throw in the truck in the case of a trail "snap" I got the whole set for an awesome price. Well worth taking just in case!

Definitely recommend the C2 axle gussets by our vendor.... can't remember their name...umm...ORE or ..yeah that's it ORE ...I think. Great additive to beef up the front axles.
