It's not bad to cut it off if your set on a bumper. Some bumpers and skid plates get bolted to the bar is all. It also is there to help protect the Rubicon e-discos which aren't cheap.

Yeah...I am just gonna leave it there for right now. It isn't hurting anything. If I decide on a new bumper that needs it then I will be glad I left it so I dont have to fab something up later to replace it

I say leave it, it is added protection for the front end. Those of you that cut it off said it was so you could fit a new bumper on. That means you are getting protection from that specific bumper now.
