Completely empty housing? No shafts, no locker, no gears? Steering knuckles? Hubs?

Has it been trussed or gusseted?

If not, and it is an empty housing, then $250 may be about right. Maybe a $450 max.

If you were going tor rebuild a front rubi axle with used housing, $1000 for the locker $450 for knuckles, 150 for ball joints, 200 for shafts, 600 gears and labor. $2400. You can buy a brand new crate 44 for $1900. Kinda makes the weak factory housing worthless. I am really not sure who would build an axle out of one of these with the think tube and weak inner C.

Same thing I was thinking kind of silly but I have someone interested in mine when my PR44 shows up in a couple of weeks

He's offering $100

And yes it is a totally bare housing no nothing

there is a guy on here looking for a d30 housing that sounds like he would pay for it.

Problem is for someone to start a scratch build he should truss the D44 housing first before he throws a lot of money into internals. If he bent a D30 he will bend the D44 as well.
