The person who greased theirs likely was the slip joint and not the t-case rzeppa joint.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.
Gear wrench makes a stubby 8mm wrench. It really makes getting to TC side bolts. I bought a full kit but I believe amazon will have it.

Do it right and call Tom woods now. Get the new driveshaft. stop dicking around with factory shafts on a 3-4" lifted JK. Your driveline will thank you.

Do you know what "net" lift height you have?

Wondering why your front is going bad with only 2" lift, plus heavy front bumper.

I technically have a shittybilt front bumper with a 8k winch and 4 off road lights (not that heavy since its like a stubby and then round) on the rear on the other hand.. I have a rockhard 4x4 140lbs bumper with all the accesories (tire can carriers and roof rack) I also tow around 3000lbs 3500lbs across the USA (pretty much all the mileage 66k miles) have been moving back and foward from miami to alaska then california, then miami, and trips in between . I have OMU HD coils which after 50k miles on them are beginning to sag in the back.

my guess either i need a heavier bumper at front (i have an ARB laying around in the garage) or I need a leveling kit to level the front with the back..

Just curious since all these lifts end up netting a different amount. Would be nice to get a ball park on actual lift height and driveshafts.

My cousin exploded his tcase because apparently he had too much lift for his stock driveshaft and was running 5:13 gears. I think he has a 4" teraflex with heavy front bumper and winch.

Depends in your caster numbers too.

Yeah, I'm sure that was the main culprit.

I just went to a TF 3.25" lift & added 5:38 gears, so I'm trying to do my homework. I also installed AEV brackets, so I'd think my caster is in the safe range. Need to get that checked somewhere.

Default Don't Tow Your Jeep With Only One Drive Shaft!!!

You CANNOT tow a JK with only one drive shaft. Two shafts, fine. No shafts, fine.

By using just a single shaft you turn one T-case output at around 2000 RPM while towing. The other T-case output does not turn at all. The 2000 RPM differential inside will turn your T-case into scrap metal in not very many miles.

See the owners manual. They make it very clear, although they don't explain why.
