True it would be viewed as an odd occurrence. but take note of the top image (top part of the tube/bar) there's indication of a deep scuff just on the surface.. sort of like hitting a curb at the right angle.. Off roading today?.. but definitely a clean break.. in other words a bit more info of what you were doing when this happen..

Looks to me like that scuff came after the break, from the one side sliding over the top of the other...

It's hard to tell in that picture, but it looks like there was a crack there and it's rusted slightly. It looks different than the other fresh clean torn metal. Small crack leads to a bigger one until force overcomes the material. Like already mentioned, the first generation could have had some poor material that was weaker than what they are using now. Wheeling takes a toll on just about everything on a vehicle, including the occupants. Might try contacting the manufacturer to see if they will replace it. They might like it back to run tests on as well.

Considering that he could have been killed when this broke I don't think It should be taken lightly especially by the manufacturer who needs to make it right and figure out if this could affect other people. I have seen other company's discontinue production until metal testing came back and put out warnings that the product could be faulty.

I dunno about killed, mine busted at the wheel end and it just caused a quick death wobble scenario. But I agree, a company should step up with known issues.

hum interesting.. aftermarket track bar breaking.. very possible would there be a concern that this bar may look like a gen bar but actually be a bogus bar?.. (counterfeit)

@bibos No problem.. if you want to speak your language I could try to translate.. which ever you prefer

Nessun problema .. se vuoi parlare la lingua ho potuto provare a tradurre .. che mai si preferisce
