Full Traction 4" Ultimate too much for 35's"
Would the 4" Full Traction Ultimate be too much lift for 35" tires on a 2-door.
I see this lift on WOL's 4-door with 37's and he needs more room.
These lifts are typically a bit higher on a 2-door, so would it be too much for the 4" Ultimate to run with 35's? Would there be so much extra space that it would be too much to be useful?
Anyone have pics of a 2-door with the FT 4" Ultimate and 35's?
Would the FT 3" Ultimate just be more suitable for running 35's on a 2-door?
Edit:
I noticed that the Full Traction website doesn't list the 4" kits yet (only the long-arms). Northridge4x4 doesn't have them either, but Quadratec lists a Full Traction 4" Ultimate.
Are the 4" Ultimate kits even available yet?

I think it is going to be a matter of preference. I don't think that the 4" FT Ultimate lift would be too much with 35's, but you would definitely have more spare room in the wheel wells compared to the 3" Ultimate. I don't think you will see many examples of the 4" Ultimate as of yet because I don't think they are selling it quite yet.
Ideally you want to have just enough height to be able to flex your suspension to extreme and not rub whatever size tires you have. Another good idea is to keep the center of gravity of the vehicle as low as possible to help with handling and prevent possible rollovers in extreme situations. I however like the look of a little extra height in the wheel well to give the Jeep a taller look.
I have seen a 2DR with the 3" Ultimate with FT's HD front springs and it looks great in my opinion. I am a little biased toward my Currie lift, which is the same lift that SDMF has on his 2DR, which BTW looks badass! If I had a two door I would go with this kit and 35's. I think it is a great combo.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that my brother in law just got hired as a school teacher in Clarksville. Him and his family love it there!

which currie lift did you get and where did you get it from? how much lift did you end up getting out of it?
would you say you got more or less lift than someone with the 3" FT lift and HD springs? Do you have more or less space in the wheel wells?
How would you compare the flex of your Currie lift to the FT 3" Ultimate on a 2-door? What do you have for swaybars, and what shocks? Is the currie kit a complete bolt-on kit?

The Currie kit does require a few beads of weld to the track bar relocation brackets which are on the axle, so it is actually a good thing because they strengthen the weak factory axle mounts. I bought all of my stuff through David at Northridge, which I highly recommend. The lift is Currie's Rock Jock lift and I am using the Rancho 9000's sold by Currie for this kit.
I didn't take any measurements, but I think that I got about 4.5" of lift out of the kit. I got more lift than the 3" HD springs would give. I have a little more space in my wheel wells than those with the 3" kit, but this was my preference, some may not like the way it looks. I have the stock sway bars with manual disconnects in the front.
I don't want to put down the FT lifts at all, and I think the FT 4" Ultimate kit will be better to compare to the Currie kit, but compared to the 3" Ultimate I believe the Currie kit allows more flex partly because of the design of the kit and partly because of the height of the lift, which again will be better compared to the 4" FT kit when it comes out.
Here is a couple photos of SDMF's 2DR Rubi showing off the flex.

The Full Traction 4" Ultimate Lift is not available as of yet but it should be sometime this month. For a 2-door, I would recommend getting a 3" Ulimate kit though as it will stand much more like a 4"+ especially if you get the HD coils. As Rubimon, it will stand very tall. A 4" lift would probably still look nice but your center of gravity will be higher and I don't know if that would be much of an advantage on the trail.
