FT Adjustable TB

I installed Full Traction front and rear track bar yesterday. I actually called FT to ask a question about packaging. (looks like 4wheelparts likes to sell returned items w/o everything in the box) anyway, VERY VERY HAPPY!!! I piled the White Lithium Greese and torqued the crap out of the bolts and threw away the Skyjacker bracket.

I have a 2.5 Skyjacker suspension and 3/4" Daystar spacers. (3 1/4" lift) With the stock track bar and the Skyjacker track bar relocation bracket the wheels and tires stuck out one side an inch more than the other.

Anyone debating on buying Full Traction Adjustable Track Bar...Don't debate anymore. Unbelievable difference.

front or rear or both

is this noise issue primarily related to the front track bar? have people had problems with the rear? just ordered an ft rear adjustable to replace stock & relocation bracket and was wondering what to expect.

I have the FT 3"Ultimate lift for 11,000 miles. Just because you take it to a reputable Jeep shop doesn't necessarily mean they properly lubed everything. I took apart my track bars and lubed it like this write-up http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up and havent had a squeak since.

Ive had no noise in my rear track bar.......just the front so far.

You can expect to get a really beefy and nice easy to use track bar that needs the shit greased out of it, not to mention so much torque your guaranteed to crap your pants before it hits the spot :eek2:

All joking aside, its a nice very piece - I would def recommend it, but just dont expect it not to make noise if you dont grease it right , etc

I had the noise in the front first after taking out on some trails. The rear one then followed after greasing up the front but it wasn't as bad. Used some of the green sticky grease and it hasn't made any noise so far. They are very nice trackbars.

I greased the bushings pretty well before installing them in the bar but this has me wondering something...

How are you getting the bushings back out? They were a tight fit going in I'm not sure how they are going to come back out?

Take a screw driver, and a rubber mallet........ knock them out.

Mine acutally came installed(bushings already in there) with no grease, so I had to knock them out to grease them, came out pretty easy with a little force.

thanks pkess3. wasn't trying to steal your thread - just curious on where the problem was. i ordered the ft for the rear and probably should go ahead and get the front one as well.

My FT front track bar has been on for 1 week and I'm hear all kinds of new squeaks from underneath. I asked the installer if he used grease and he said no it didn't need any. I wonder if the FT instructions indicate that grease is needed like WOL's write-up does???

Can I just unbolt the trackbar and apply the lithium grease into the bushings and re-install ?
