Gas overflows

Having a problem with gas overflow. When im putting gas in and it gets full the pump stops like its suppose to. Problem is, i guess its stopping to late and the gas overflows. Anyone else have this problem?

Take it to your dealer to fix under warranty. This is a known issue on JK's.

Mine used to do that- it doesn't anymore. Maybe it was some additive I've used? :dontknow2:

Unfortunately it's a common problem and it indicates a defective roll-over valve in the gas tank inlet tube. Chrysler now extends a lifetime warranty to cover the gas tank for select 2007 JKs and all 2008 JKs for all owners for the life of the vehicle.

The tanks were on a national backorder due to the recall/extended warranty so it took about a month for my dealer to get more in stock but it fixed the problem.

There are several threads on the topic so you may want to review one of those to see the history and evolution of this problem.

Mine does it, I just dont keep the gas on full speed when pumping it, I put it at the second notch down. It stops with that......

They didn't replace my tank. They ordered some parts and fixed it. Works perfectly now.
