Depending on what we finally decide to purchase 1200 pounds is average. We intend on renting several models to decide which one we actually want to own. Yeah it's crazy cannot find conventional 75W140. May have to contact Eaton about the Tru Trac and synthetic oil.

Eaton got back to me on the use of full synthetic on the differential. They said any GL5 gear oil, but to consult the Jeep manufacturer for proper gear oil. So they answered me very lawyerly. The only stipulation that they threw in was don’t use a friction modifier in the gear oil or it might cause loss of performance with the Torsen gears. So I’ll be using full synthetic with my TrueTrac.

Awesome, thanks guys! I've been kinda slacking on the diff fluid changes. But figured I'd ask what all of us risk takers use in their dana 30s LOL

I used Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 in the rear and 75W-90 in the front. No problems.
