On the flatest of roads with no head wind, it'll run about 1600 to 1700 rpm in OD at 60 mph. The slightest throttle pressure and I'm back in 3rd and around 2500. I need 4:88's

chuck
The problem with the auto is the final gear is .69, and the engine just doesnt have the grunt to pull the jeep along with tires in the 35 flavor. With the manual its .84 and that allows you a little more umph in the final (6th) gear.
I didnt vote because I have 4.10's and 35's, but if I was going to do it I would recommend the following due to the RPMS and the ideal final overall gear.
Manual, 4.88
Auto, 5.13

Thread necro! You might want to check dates on all the gearing threads you're posting on, I've seen three so far (was wondering why so many people had gearing questions all of a sudden...)
