Gear Question

I have just purchased a front ring and pinion. They are 5.13 reverse rotation snd thick rick and pinions for a rubi 44 front. These should work in my 2009 2 door rubicon correct? i believe they will, but i need a rear ring and pinion. i have fond a reverse rotation, but do i need a thick ring and pinion? any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

It should work, but you will need to also get a 5.13 for the rear before you install that.

The rear gears aren't reverse rotation, are they?

Rears cannot be reverse, only fronts can. Front axles are basically rear axles put in the front. Because of that, the ring gear in front runs on the concave side, where in rear it runs on the convex side, which is stronger. So to fix that, they reverse cut the ring gear to make the front run on the convex side. This in turn makes the ring gear stronger. Anyways, just get the R&P that specifically says it is for the rear of JK D44.
