The OP lives in Clearfield, UT, elevation 4465 feet above sea level.
He probably wheels at elevations of 6,000 feet to 10,000 feet above sea level.
When he drives the freeway to go wheel, he is probably driving 6% and steeper grades up mountain passes.
If he had a 4 dr automatic on 35s, I'd say 5.38s.
With his 2 dr 6 speed X on 35s, 4.88s would be the minimum and 5.13s would be preferable unless he spends alot of freeway time over 80 mph.

Man, you guys that posted 3.73's are fine with 35's. How can you stand it?
Especially if you have an auto.
The wife has a stock unlimited except for an AEV bumper which of course added some weight. She has the stock 4.10's and the stock 245/75/16's and I can hardly stand that.

Just got mine back
I put in 5.13. I have 33" tires and a 4sp auto. I wish that I had gone to 5.38 so I could keep what I have now if and when I go to 35".
Don't waste your time and money going to 4.88, even with stock tires. The 5.13 will make your JK feel normal again.
I have not run one tank thur it yet but I bet my MPG goes up at least a couple.

i just got 4:88's in my 6spd and so far im happy. i had 3:21's in there for over a year and it was fine. i would drive it for a while and see how you like it. then pull the trig on the gears if you think you want them.

With a 6 speed and 35s I'd do 4.56s or 4.88s. 4.56s will put you back to nearly the same ratio as a stock rubicon (4.10s on 32" tires). 4.88s will be a bit shorter
5.13s and 5.38s are going to be awfully short on a 6 speed with 35s in my opinion. You'll be turning considerably more than 3,000 RPM at 75 MPH. 1st gear will probably be useless on the street.

1st gear on mine with 6spd is almost useless. 5:13's must be really useless in first

I wouldn't go any deeper the 4.88 with a 6 speed. I have 35's and 4.88 and turn about 2600 RPM @ 65. If I had to do it again I would go 4.56, but since I already have them their staying.... And I like the power with a trailer and off road!
