Take off the axle side of the track bar and diconnect your sway bar. You'll have enough room to get the coils out. You should not have to remove the control arms.

You will also need to disconnect one end of the shock on the side youare working on, this worked on mine with 4" Teraflex springs. If for some reason it stil will not work use a coil sping or strut spring compressor. On the front I had to use a pair of strut spring compressors to get the springs out by just taking the shocks and sway bar links loose.

Disconnect shock and trackbar. I used a floor jack on the opposite side of axle to give me a little extra room on the side I am working on.

I was just adding a small spacer to take out the JK Lean and wanted to remove as little as possible. I have a Clayton 3.5 lift (fantastic lift by the way) so coil length will be similar to yours. Lifted and safely supported jeep, used a floor jack to remove 1 tire, disconnected the sway bar link, bottom shock bolt, extended brake line bolt to frame, lowered all the way down (keep an eye on all brake and abs lines - do not stretch), lifted other end of housing a little with floor jack to help drop the end I was changing (be careful not to overlift and slide the jeep off the blocks! Block in 3 spots - side frame both sides and under front/rear if possible), spring was still a little tight so I used the factory scissor jack and put it between the frame and housing and by Hand lightly pushed (it went easy) the housing down and easily pulled the spring out. If big spacers are installed just push the housing down a little more if needed. #1 thing to keep an eye on are the brake and abs lines be very careful not to over extend them. Hope this helps someone!!

Default confirming coil install

Just to conmirm for rear coil removal or install: you MUST remove tire, shock, sawy bar link and brake line bracket (to frame ) ON THE SIDE that wou want to remove only. the other side you may just have to take the tire off. MAKE SURE TO WATCH ABS LINE DOEST PULL OFF. I unplugged it then put it back. simple enough to do.
