Gibson Split Rear Exhausts
Gibson Performance Aluminized Split Rear Exhaust - anyone have any reviews/comments on it?
Not looking for too expensive of a one, but would like a new sound and look... I like the dual pipes.
What's the difference between the 617303 & 17303 models tho?
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17606_0002_07.htm - 17303
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17606_0102_07.htm - 617303
Amazon has the 617303 for $375 shipped. Best Quadratec can do is $570 shipped.
They have the 17303 for for $272 shipped. Quadratec...$420
It looks like the 617303 would be the best choice for the money saved and assuming its the better model of the 2.

Sponsoring Vendor
Gibson is a great company, and one of the JK guys here has the 617303 catback on his jeep. It sounds really good and has a deep, mellow, somewhat throaty tone to it.

I see you're in NJ. I would go with the stainless due to the salt around there.
My dad had the alumnized version and it fell apart at the welds at 10months. He has been rocking a stainless version for about 3 years now.

Yea, from Jersey here. That was a main thing I liked, can't go wrong with stainless. Not 100% set on the chrome part of it, but those are just tips and can always be swapped out if anything.
Any pics you can post?

But the money I can save on the stainless, it wouldnt make sense to NOT get it...it's only $100 more. Not just the salt, it's the fact that it's stainless - no need to worry about rust when the time comes. I want it to be like Ron Popeil.... "Set it and forget it!" ok, sorry for the lame joke....hahaha

I understand what you are saying, but like I said...i'm not gonna spray a brand new $500+ exhaust with $5 bedliner just to prevent it from rusting when I can just get it stainless. Plus, bedliner won't prevent it from rusting. If a tiny crack breaks the bedliner, water gets in and thats all it needs. When it comes to spending the extra $100 when i'm saving over $200 - it's sorta a no-brainer "IF" I infact was to go with this exhaust. I can always powder coat the tips if I wanted anyway, I have access to a powder coater...
I already have grab handles, so yea.....no.
