Thanks everyone for the opinions. I won't get the Jeep for another year or so. I'm entering my senior year of HS and my dad's giving the Jeep to me for once I go to college. I think I'll go with the Duratracs. Right now the Jeep has BFG A/Ts with the size 265/70 17 but I wanted to go just a little bit bigger and thought the Goodyear's looked better. I'd go with 35s but I really dont have the cash for them or the regear. I'd have to regear definitely with all the mountains and such around here. If swapping gears and 35s werent so expensive, I'd go that route. Thanks for the help everyone. I'm just trying to make a list of mods to buy once I acquire the brute, lol! Again, thanks a lot!

The more I look at the Duratracs, the more I like them! Does anyone know of a picture of them in 285/70r 17s with pro comp 8179 17" wheels?

The difference in price on 285/70/17 or 315/70/17 Duratracs is less than $10 on some sites. I also saw the weight on these tires as 315/70/17 - 60 lbs......285/70/17 - 53 lbs. Not a great difference in price or weight. Go bigger if you can!!!

Well it's a 6 speed manual. What kind of gears would I need for them to turn like stock? And a 2.5" BB lift would work wouldn't it?

What kind of gears do you have now? Yes a 2.5 BB would work.

I've got 3.73 stock gears in mine right now. Have had 315/70/17 Duratracs on for 10,000 miles. Lost a little power but not enough for me to want to regear yet.

I totally forgot lol. I don't even think it's a 3.73. I just know it cant pull 35s with the mountains here without regearing. But what's better for a dd, 4.56 or 4.88?

Honestly don't have any experience wih gears. Since you have a manual transmission, you could do a 4.88 where an auto would need a 5.13. At least that's what i've come to understand from reading some posts.

Okay I'll just have to look into it. What kind of mpgs are you getting?
