Every jeep is set up differently which is exactly why I state he MAY run into an issue, not that it is going to occur definitively.

You also contradict yourself in your post stating that making contact with the rear seam is in fact an issue when stretching either a 2 or 4 door. Yes, other factors do come into play, but I don't see spring perch alignment or trackbar clearance being an issue before my tire would contact my pinch seam. It is already very tight back there so I don't see a need to push it back in anyway.

Now my setup is very different from yours or the OP, but I have decided to contribute my personal experience to the matter to let him know what issues he may or may not encounter.
You are correct, all of our JKs are set up completely different and I do stand corrected. With a 5.5" lift and the rotation on the axle to maintain correct pinion angles there would be clearance issues before hitting the rear pinch seam. I didn't realize you were at 2.5" of lift. With mine, my spring would bow and pop out or hit my tracbar or tracbar bracket before hitting the rear pinch seam. I apologize for jumping in there with the answer but was looking at his lift height and not yours. I had a 4" lift prior to my 5.5" and had no issues. I was trying to contribute from my personal experience as well.
I don't follow where I contradict my self because when you stretch a 2 or 4 dr all suspension components are shifted back and then finally the body would be an issue but I think that also comes from the both of us comparing apples and oranges in our experiences with different heights.

I'm not familiar with the 5.5" lift (my wife would never be able to get into my Jeep!) but I know the instructions I had listed different lengths for the 3.5" X factor vs the 3.5" non X-Factor.

Edit*** Just looked...yeah...my xfactor lenghts are over 1" longer than non-Xfactor. I'm wondering if the 5.5" lift deals with it a different way?

Good question, I don't have the answer either. Maybe it is because the 5.5" uses the same length arms , have to pull out my directions and look at the set up lengths, as yours but the increased 2" of ride height shortens up how far the axle moves back. When mine was installed there was no mention of having to move the sway bar mount back. LOL, now my curiousity is up and I'm going to have to ask about that or research it out.

Just a Warning, check the front to..... Front tires fully turned in and stuffed will also hit the body and cut your tires. I will grab a pic for you.

Wow...well I just went to Rock Krawler's website and they don't even offer my kit any longer. You can only get the 5.5" kit with their long arm set up now and the 3-link rear. My current kit has the same short arms that come on their other kits but the set up lengths were different. My guess is you had to move your swaybar as you probaly have more uptravel than my kit. My kit actually has 2 sets of bumpstop extensions, a 3" on the axle and then another 2" extension that lowers the foam upper stop. It has tons of droop but is not as LCG of a setup as the 3.5" kit

Which set up is this a problem with? My 5.5" with adjustable arms shifts the axle far enough forward that the only thing it may rub is on the lower control arm a little and that is at full stuff and full lock.

WOW!! I've never seen that. I thought you were talking behind the tire. How far forward is your front axle? What size tires? Rim width? Offset? That would all have a potential effect on that.

Yes, still running them and quite frankly, I love them. They have been great on and offroad. Not the quietest but not the loudest I've heard. I've got almost 15K on them, I rotate them atleast every other oil change, sometimes every oil change and I do a 5 tire rotation so that will help with the wear factor. I'm hoping for 45-55K out of them...I know that is asking alot but I'm hopeful....lol. When it comes time to replace them, I will get another set. Plan on putting a set on my son's Ranger in the 33" size and will be putting them on my Excursion once the 35" that are on there wear out.

Front Axle is in the stock position, 4 Inch TF Springs, with Currie shorts, ATX slabs with a -38 mm offset, with Nitto 37 12.50 X17s.
