I would guess to do it right I would do both front and rear lowers at least. How much lift do you have?

OME LT provides a bit more than 3" so im going to chop my factory flares and my 37s should fit. more input on control arms would be helpful

I'm running 37s with a 4" that worked out to about a 5-5.5" and have not ran into any issues with no arms so fronts would more that likely IMO be fine.

One set of arms 'tilt's the axle, used for caster and pinion angles.
Two sets of arms lets you fine tune the caster/pinion, and also allows you to move the entire axle forward/backward in the wheel well.

Up front, lowers are all you will need. In the rear, you would want uppers to set the pinion angle if/when you replace that driveshaft. At appx 3" with 37's, you will want to trim the pinch seam and rubi rails if you have them, but you should not need to move the rear axle.

37's on my unltd would cause the rears to contact the TUB at the front of the tire @ full bump (TF 3"). No, not the seam, I have already trimmed it to a nub. I needed rear upper & lowers to position the rear axle back a tad to clear. I guess you could run addl bumpstop & limit travel, but why? Just my 2 cents.

You will definately need to trim the pinch seams in front of the rear tires if you are running stock or non-adjustable lowers. Rock Krawler arms will move the rear axle back an inch but still require some trimming to clear the 37's.
