I personally think this is a good setup. I love my Duratracs. I have a 1.5" lift and 33s are perfect.

The dufatrac's are good all around tire but don't wear nearly as good as my previous ATZ's. I also think the ATZ's are available in the size you are thinking about

How come you want to keep your stocks 18's?

I was going to keep my stock sahara 18's until I started pricing tires and I am glad I went with 33's on 15" wheels. Ended but being cheaper with a better look imo.

You will hate 3.21 / 35s with an auto. I had 4.10s and it sucked. Running 5.38 /35s now.

15" wheels are great for wheeling and tire price. Not so great for balancing and DD. At least that has been my experience with these Procomp Xterrains and procomp RC steelies. I am actually considering putting my rubi take offs back on.

i wonder how much better it would be, though, since his is a 2012? if i wasnt wheelin', i still wouldnt exceed 33's. heck, i'm considering stacking the 35 MT's in the garage and getting a 2nd set of wheels/33" AT tires to run for daily driving and swap for the 3 or 4 times i get a chance to go wheelin'.

I have a Rubi with 4.10 and 33" Duratracs. No lift, no rub, but it is a rubicon. I use as a DD with a little offroad in the summer. I immediately regretted 33s and am soon going 35 with a 2" lift. I would think I'd want to definitely regear going to 35s. The Duratracs are by far the quietest tire I've tried this size, and they hold up with the muddin I do... They do look sharp

my instinct was to go with 16's. maybe even 15's. EVERYbody kept telling me, "go with 17's, go with 17's, you'll regret it if you dont...they're making less and less 16's...go with 17's"...

well, that was a bunch of BS. i now completely wish i'd bought 15's. or at least 16's. the wheels are cheaper. the tires are cheaper. and there are an abundance of tires in both of those wheel sizes that would've made me more than happy.

i'd say go with the 16's if that's what you think will work for ya. i also say, go with the slightly larger tires like the 305's you're thinking about. worst-case scenario, you can easily trade them off to somebody for the 285's or 295's if you change your mind later.

Run 33's with that lift it will be a good match.. you will either size have rubbing issues with stock wheels near full lock. Adj stops or spacers for factory wheels. stops are free and easy.. look around project jk for write up. Im a duratracs fan, was a bfg at before.. I wont go back.
