Default help with ideas, please

Removing my rear tire carrier and brake light, can anyone tell me how they plugged the holes in tailgate after removing the rubber cone bump guards , is there a way to fill hole other than body filler. thank you

You can pick up some trim tabs from the specialty hardware section at Lowe Hardware or even most auto parts stores and insert them into the holes. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, these are the plastic looking screws with what kind of looks like a christmas tree for threads and has a thin flat head. Just push them into the holes and you're done
