Default Help I'm on my third pinion seal

I'm looking for another reason why i may be having these issues. I had the gears swapped in my D44 to 5:13s(precision gear) and new driveshafts. My shop seems think maybe the tolerances on the after market yolks are different from the factory one. Any suggestions? Anyone know what the measurement is on the factory one?

Are then any vibes coming from the DS even just a little

Also good be a crap bunch of seals out there

Or there is too much play between the pinion and ring allowing the pinion to move wearing down the seal

I had a issue with my JE Reel 1350, the flange didn't close up on the seal at the TC. Put the stock DS back on and leak went away and no more seal issues.

if you have to do the seal again before you install the seal make sure you put grease in the spring to make sure the spring wont pop off when you hammer it in. you should also grease the lip of the seal and put the seal on the yoke and make sure the seal fits snug. you should also make sure the yoke is not scratch or damage. you can also use scoth brite to polish the yoke. when installing the seal the less you hammer it the better for the seal. you can also put RTV around the outside of the seal. can you see if its leaking from the lip or around the seal.

If you're running a JE Reel, I had some issues with their flanges as well. Switched to Tom Woods, now all is well.

More than likely, it's a problem with the new flange or the pinion pre-load is incorrect. Are you getting any driveline vibrations? A bad U-joint or an improperly centered U-joint can also cause this

I actually posted the question for the shop that did the work. He asked me to see what I could find out other than the obvious. He didn't want to get it in the shop and then start investigating and tying up my Jeep. I had heard the same thing about the J.E. Reels. but don't know enough about driveshafts to offer any help. Should I order a Tom Woods??
