Default Help, need a Jeep lingo translator!

I admit I am a novice in the Jeep world, both in terms of owning, and in terms of understanding the lingo for all the modifications etc. that you guys do. I'll freely confess that terms like "spacers," "leveling kits," "inches of travel," all go right over my head. I would love to learn more, both so that I can understand what you guys are talking about, and so that when I get back from my deployment and buy my Jeep I will know what to look for. Is there a good place to go to start learning about this stuff? Thanks for the help.

We were all newbies at one time or another and had the same questions, so don't feel bad. I've been wheeling a few years and still find myself looking for answers at times.
