Default Help a newbie with gear questions

Ok 4 weeks ago i got my '11 Sahara (I should had done more research before buying )
The sticker says under standard equipment that it has Dana 44 rear and Dana 30 front
with 3:21 rear axle ratio. (4 speed automatic)
Now under the Optional equipment it has 3:73 Rear axle ratio
Here are my questions which gears do i really have? Also what do I have in the front?
I already got 17" wheels(in the garage) and will be buying 35"s next week and getting a 2-1/2" lift
So that been said can I run 35"s with what I have or should I re-gear? If so what do you all recommend?
Hey sorry about the long post and questions but this is all new to me.
Thanks

You have 373 if it's listed on the sticker.

Sounds like you have 3.73. Run a search for gears and you should be able to find a lot of good info on what gears you should run with 35's and an auto. I have been looking into it also. Looks like most people go with 4.88 or 5.13. Check the forum for the gearing charts and that will help you decide too.

Just went 4.88 with 35 and auto. Mine a dd so perfect balance. Def 5.13 if a trail rig.

x2 on 4.88 for DD all around good performance, 5.13 if trail rig.

With 35's and the d30 up front you'll want to look into reinforcing the C's before long - especially if you hit the trails often.

You 'should' have 3.73's front and rear. If you don't want to lift a corner and count revs to verify, you could measure your tires, jump on the freeway, and compare your rpms at 70 to the chart in the drivetrain faqs. (again, actual measured height, not mfg's specs).

That chart will also give a good indication of where you will be with stock gears and 35's, and what ratio to look at when you do regear. Once you get the rpm, divide that number by .69 to get your OD Off rpm. (this is how you will be driving with 35's and stock gears).

And for which ratio to go with, check post 33 in this one for some good info.

And this one is a bit more involved, but it's a good read when you have the time.
