Default Help with shock

Throwin some rubi shocks on my 2012 sport. Got to the last one, the front right shock,.....how in the hell am I supposed to get to the top of this bolt!?!??

First pic is the left side, no problem, second pic is the right

I saw on another thread that they had to cut a notch to get to it.

Cutting the plastic is the only way. We have all done it when lifting.

Might be a dumb question but can you simply hold the retaining nut in place & turn the shock tube itself to tighten? I know it's possible but does it create a potential problem to tighten this way?

Yeah but I'm going to have to cut the plastic on the passenger side to get to it... Literally can't get a wrench on the nut let alone reach in to position the new bushings on top of the new shock. It's hard plastic, not the flexible liner thats in the way

I have 33x12.50 r20's on my stock suspension. No clearance issues until I had a lot of weight in the back and was driving on a bumpy road. The tires rubbed in the wheel well. Will coil spacers help this issue??? Thanks
