help with Warn PP 9500
Dude that sucks, and I was too very interested in getting one of these. I have heard of the thermal problems before but if they cant control quality better than this I might reconsider...Thanks for th e info.
i wish it was a simple thermal switch problem. that can be bypassed easily.
i just wanted to post up and let people know that i have the same winch. i bought it used one year ago and the original owner had it a little over a year. i wheel 2 or more times a month and use the crap out of my winch. i love this winch and have not had a problem with it.
i really hope the op gets it to work this time around and i am sure they had a problem. warn did make it good and they sent you the part. sure would of ben nice to next day it to you but hey at least you got them to fix it (take in your jeep for warrenty and see how long you wait, prob longer then with warren and you spent more). if you had of bought a import companies winch you would still be tring to get ahold of them.
i would buy this winch agian and recomend it to anyone. i don't work for warren or even sell anything with the offroad market. i am they guy you hate when your kids bring home a brochure for a fundraiser at there school lol.

comparing getting a part sent to me to getting a vehicle repaired? if thats not apples to oranges, nothing is.

seriously? hmmmm, lets break this down. I bought a $1500 winch. It came broken and missing internal parts. It was replaced. I got another winch and within 4 months, it went bad? No shit they sent me the part, its under warranty. I didnt ask for next day air, i asked for ANY kind of help in getting the part within 5 days and was denied. You can love the winch all you want, but refusing to pay 10 bucks more to ship a part faster to a customer says alot about a company, especially when the customer spent 1500 and mark up is probably outrageous to begin with.

Man, sorry to hear you have to deal with that. I never had so many warranty frustrations until I bought my Jeep. Dealership and vendors jacking me around, but I guess that's part of the fun, huh?
I was just thinking of getting myself one of those, but might look at another one.
Good Luck

For the price of that winch and the problems it has caused you x2 they should have drove the part to your front door and gave you a hand job while a company mechanic fixed your winch. I agree with your rant on coustomer service, you DIDN'T BUY A $300 WINCH! Hope it eventually works out for you and your winch.
