HHELP! Rancho 9000's or Bumpstops?
Did you compare the length of the stock shock with the extensions vs the new rancho shock? I looked at the components included with your lift and it seems that bump stop extensions aren't included. I'm guessing your new shocks have a bit more of length (extended) than the stock ones, and you're bottoming out the shocks since it flexes more and the opposite side is compressing more.
Btw would you recommend those shocks to other people with a BB lift? I have a teraflex bb and have been thinking of trying those same shocks. Was there a big difference in suspension feel?

The Rancho 999329 and 999330 (which is what everyone else recommends for the 2.5'' lift) seem to be just a bit longer then the stock shocks with extensions that comes from Rough Country.
If you have the Teraflex Budget boost you should be completely ok to run these shocks because the TF kit comes with the bump stop extensions (unlike my Rough Country series ii kit)
As far as the Shocks themselves & the ride quality and comfort:
NIGHT & DAY
I'm absolutely in love with these shocks, and they have only been on my jeep for 4 days
The onroad manners are a bit softer than stock right now but even so, body roll and side to side sway at slow speed have been noticeably reduced! I did set them at 3 all the way around and they had me riding smooth as glass @ 38psi in the tires. I'm going to leave them at 4/5 for now. But these things give off a serious smooth ride with the availability to fine tune them to your liking. Overall very happy customer
Off road: They perform amazing! Very smooth, very controlled, Very comfortable. Jeep has a very "planted" to the ground feeling now without the annoying side to side rocking motion you come to expect from being disconnected on stock suspension.
Even wifey made a comment about the ride quality yesterday. We are both very happy with them!
HOWEVER!!
LET THIS BE A WARNING!!
If your thinking about running these shocks on a RoughCountry Budget Boost.
You WILL also need bump stops or at least bump stop extensions as these shocks provide more overall travel!
of course. The correct way to set up your shocks would be to run the least amount of bumpstop possible to keep the tires off the fender or body, and than measure for the longest shock possible between top and bottom mounts (compressed length).
you'll sacrifice up travel adding bumpstop for your shock, but you'll gain it back in droop (as long as your coils stay seated). Plus you'll be ready to go if and when you add larger tires

The 29 fronts are about 1" longer at their compressed length then the stock rubicon.
Shocks. The 30 rears are about 1.5 longer at their compressed length then the stock Rubicon shocks .
2 door Rubicon, 3.5" lift, 37x12.5x17 MTR's.

Yeah, I just thought they would be close to a wash on overall lengths with the added shock extentions for the factory shocks... Buttt, I was wrong.. its not the first time that's happened..
Thanks everybody for the input!
