Higher sway bar location after suspension work, Problem or not?.
I need to go slap the angle finder on my swaybar just to see where it's at. Mine is angled up quite a bit (MC 3.5" coils), so the same situation as you, but I always disconnect so it has never been an issue for me one way or the other.
Yup. Disconnecting makes everything moot.
Posting these just to show how the links changed with the EVO Draglink Flip bracket. Only posted pics for a few replys that weren't sure about why the links ended up longer this is the passenger side
Driver side
And I've decided again to leave them as is! And maybe I'll start disconnecting instead of using the button.

So I did some work on my front suspension, drag link flip, etc... the disconnects mount a few inches higher off the axle (new bracket) and my sway bar is now about 2+" higher,, or you could say setting at ~10:30 o'clock vs the ~9 o'clock. (parallel to frame) position
I have fully flexed both sides and the bar doesn't rub or interfere with anything.
I was wondering if there is something I don't see this new position causing problems with, or causing added ware to??
My first thought has been to put my stock ones back on, or buy adjustable ones, but since I didn't see interference I am thinking no need.
I would like to here from some of you guys that seem to know your Jeeps pretty good, or better then I do.
Does this or will this cause a problem I am not seeing?
thanks

Ideally, with the rig sittling flat & level you want the arms to be horizontal. However, with them angled up like that you're OK so long as the arm doesnt hit anything when the suspension is compressed. Having them angled up like that ensures they won't restrict droop, or flip the sway bar forward, which could be really bad ju ju. If the upward angle bugs you visually you can try a shorter, adjustable link like Currie, EVO, Synergy, etc. Leveling the sway bar is mre important on a BMW or Porsche than an off road vehicle. Even the factory angled them upwards on the TJ.
I would agree its a non issue and having the sway bar pointing upward more then 5 degrees does not affect the function of the sway bar less you are getting to the extreme angle over 45 degrees.
