I just installed a 'Tom Woods' front drive shaft over the weekend and my paranoia has been getting the better of me. How much of the spline on the shaft should be exposed on the front? There is a good five to six inches sticking out there. I was just wondering if by chance Quadratec sent me the wrong length. When I get home I will snap some shots since everyone likes to see instead of visualize.

 

I only have like 2-3inches on my jereel. On your front drive shaft, measure the length of the sleeve it slides into , then measure how much spline is sticking out. If you have more than half of the splines out, you need a longer one. It was this way on my jereel anyway. I ended up sending it back for a longer one.

 

I was in the same boat and did the same thing.
