Was talking w/ the shop that put on my lift and Hypertech is releasing a programable chip/module. Can program for performance as well as set speedo for tire change, supposed to increase 15 or so on HP and run about $5-600 from what is sounds like. Sounds like it could be good for the power gains and being able to easily change for tire changes...we shall see...

I heard the same thing, there is supposed to be a Hypertech handheld programmer coming out (soon), and also one from Superchips (late 2nd quarter 07.) I'll probably hold off and get the SCT (Superchips) one, they tend to have a lot more programmable features, and support custom tunes.

Thats what I wanted to hear. I have the SCT for the wifes Expedition and it made a big difference. Don't have any experience with the Hypertech. With the SCT I can change tire size, rear end, shift points (automatic).

We shall see, they said they should have it here in the next 3-4 weeks from what it sounded like. I'll be back there in a week or so when my sterring stabalizer comes in and let you know if there is any update.

I've been waiting for something like this. I was hoping it wouldn't be that expensive though.

I don't think they will sell many if they price them that high. Most programmers I have seen for a gas engine have been in the $300-400 range.
