Default Ideas for a DIY RoofRack?

I have been looking at roof racks for my 2016 JKU with a hardtop. There are some nice options out there but I can just think of way to many other things to spend my money on (still on the Jeep though).
If anyone has any ideas or roof racks they have built I would appreciate you sharing it with me. I already have some pipes that may help go towards the build

For a long time I considered building a rack like this but using high strength clamps and less welding or bending. Went so far as to start pricing out parts (was gonna use aluminum to keep weight down). However after much debate I decided a roof rack isn't for me. Lots of wind-drag and can be hard to load up and unload. Instead I am looking to put together a nice adventure trailer, which I can easily remove when not in use and can hold much more weight while keeping cog low. Just some food for thought.

I built my own rack too, couldn't stand paying 1K for something I could make. All said and done with paint I have about 200.00 into it. I needed a low profile rack so I could still fit in the garage.
