Ok! I currently have 3.21's and am running 35's with a 6 speed manual. I want to regear to 4.88's but I'm confused about the dana 30 carrier. I know I need to get one for a 3.73 and larger but where do I get one?! What are my options on the dana 30. Somebody please help me!

 

A new carrier is less than $100, and you can get them pretty much anywhere. Your local dealership, any 4x4 or drivetrain shop can order them, any of the site sponsors can hook you up.

Or, if you are considering a front locker or limited, (arb, elocker, truetrac, etc) that will be new carrier.

 

Do the spider gears from the 3.21 carrier get reused in the 3.73 carrier?

 

G2 gears will fit 4.88 into the Dana 30. Mine was regeared 3 years ago, no issues.

 

buy a locker like the detroit that replaces your carrier, or an electric or air locker. You'll be glad you did if you wheel your vehicle.
