Innovative approach to rim design by Pro Comp
It was a long wait, but the new rims from the US finally got here – 17" Pro Comp 7105 Xtreme.
With Mickey Thompson 35's on them and rolling on the balancing machine, we found out that 20% of the rims (1 of 5…) were impossible to balance... The inside lip is wobbling left-right.
This must be Pro Comps' new approach to rim design. They probably make the spare wheel so it can't be balanced, in order to make the world greener by saving 20% of the balancing Lead…
I'm open-minded, but not enough to accept such an advanced approach. That rim is going back to the US.
I wonder how frequent this issue with PC, or with other makes is.
