Changing out a driveshaft in Moab sounds like fun given the circumstances were favorable and was by choice not by Murphy's Law. Even then, its the stories and friends that make the adventure
Yeah man it was somewhat by choice (and not by Murphy's Law), was supposed to have the ds shipped to me before my trip but it kinda slipped through the cracks from the shop I bought it from (no name mentioned because these guys are awesome and always take care of me, and made this right any how). So I had them ship to a shop down there, made sure to bring the correct tools with me, picked it up my second day there and installed it while my buddies played "polish horse-shoes" in the field next to me... I got em back by defeating them the rest of the evening though!

Mods like these can seem somewhat intimidating if never completed before, but with a little confidence (liquid courage if you're feelin' froggie - JK), patience, and the right tools you can complete any job IMO. Ah, the joys of owning a Jeep... Love it!

Good luck man!

Well, I guess I will be doing this mod sooner than I was hoping to. I wanted to get it done when I regear next summer, and have the shop do it, but notice grease around the front tcase cv!

I just put mine in today. Pretty simple. I was not sure about those dust caps, that is why I was reading DS threads. I left them off. Good call apparently.

Ordered my coast today.

Can someone send me a picture of the dust cap?
Why would they make the DS so the dust cap will not fit?

Is it not beneficial or required to have the dust cap?

Thanks
