Default Installing front/rear track bars with Teraflex kit - help

Ordered a front and rear JKS track bar to install this weekend. I've spoken with Joe at Teraflex about a few things regarding the install with the kit I currently have on my Jeep. I was hoping to hear additional tips, suggestions, and advice on doing this. Vendors please share suggestions too.

It will be my first track bar install but I will have the help of a good friend. Is there a write up or walk through some one could share with me on doing this? Pictures and any info relevant are also greatly appreciated.

Did you ever find out if you're installing it to the stock mounting bracket or the aftermarket one?

I used my JKS track bars with the track bar relocation bracket that Teraflex provided. I just set my rear track bar to stock length and put it in the hole set for 2.5" of lift. I decided to do it this way so I can use relocation bracket. Its beefy as hell and is definitely stronger than stock.

Something I don't understand is that when I spoke with Teraflex yesterday, they said to install the new rear track bar with the bracket relocater that came with my 2.5 kit. However in the picture shown below used in the write up on the forum here about installing the rear track bar, it is show to be mounted to the stock places without the bracket. Can Teraflex confirm or help with this?

They are just saying that if you have the drop bracket to use it. the bracket will help keep the trackbar more parallel and have better geometry from it. The adjustable trackbars will center your axle under the jeep. Using a drop bracket I would adjust roughly to stock length and go from there on the bar length.

If you choose to use a drop bracket in the front then you will need a drop pitman arm as well. If not then you will get bumpsteer from the geometry of the two arms being out of proportion.

with 2.5" of lift, i don't see any reason to use the relo bracket in the back, or the front for that matter. It is importatn to keep the track bar as close to parallel in the front as possible. I run a 3" Full Traction lift with adj track bars in the front and rear, no relo brackets. the most important thing is to make sure you get them torqued right, 125 lbs.

When dealing with your track bars, you have 2 options: adjustable track bars, or a relocation bracket.

You can install the adjustable without the bracket and adjust the length of the track bar to recenter your axle. With that said, if you have the bracket-Use it. It will bring your track bar closer to parallel, and the bracket is much stronger than the cheesy track bar bracket that came from the factory. The TF relocation bracket is made to be used with the stock track bar so If you decide to use the bracket, match your new track bar to stock length.

Use project JK's write ups. They are helpful. Adjustable track bars are all about the same to install so use any of his write ups on lifts with adjustable track bars, eg:

How is it possible that you would get bumpsteer from installing an adjustable to the rear bracket and an adjustable to the front without one? That doesn't make sense because my Jeep currently has no front bracket and only a rear for the stock bars. This is the way Teraflex and may other companies designed their kits to be. If I simply unbolt the stock bars and install the new adjustables for the front and the rear using the bracket in the rear, nothing has changed under my jeep from what it is now except now I can adjust both bars.

I think he is saying if you drop the front track bar you have to drop the pitman too or the geometry is off. This has nothing to do with the rear at all, adn it has nothing to do with an adjustable track bar on the front. It merely has to do with the mounting location of the front track bar. Drop the rear or dont it wont effect your steering.
