Instatrunk vs. Mopar Add-a-trunk?? Need clarification
Ok, so I've done an exhaustive search on the boards and just looking online and I'm a bit confused on the Bestop Instatrunk. I have not been able to find any pictures of the Instatrunk (not the Flaxatrunk that's $400) in a 4dr Unlimited. All of the pics I've seen look to be the 2dr model.
Is there anyone with the Bestop Instatrunk in their 4dr Unlimited? I can't afford the $400 Flexatrunk. Also, I think a lot of folks are using the terms interchangably which is also confusing me.
Lastly, would you recommend the Instatrunk or the Mopar Add-a-trunk? I read that to install the Add-a-trunk, you have to pull up the carpet and drill some holes in the wheel well? Would prefer not to but if it's the better product then so be it.
Thanks!
Pat

There are a few 4-door Insta-trunks around, but none with good pictures. I was looking into getting one, but I found out it doesn't cover the entire cargo area. It stops right after the subwoofer. Not enough storage space for me. There is a big open gap in between the rear seat and the Insta-trunk. It's still solid, but you have to cut the carpet a little.
If I had to pick one or the other, I'd go with the Add-a-trunk.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was wondering too since the prices were the same for a 2dr and 4dr version of the Instatrunk. Unfortunately, the Tuffy one is out of my price range for now so Add-a-trunk it is!

I spent the money for the flex-a-trunk and I like it a lot but if I had to do it over again, I'd make my own. The ones in the write up section are pretty good and they cover it with matching carpet so it looks pretty close to factory. And they are a heck of a lot cheaper. Just my .02
