Default Intake for 2010 JK (3.8l)

Im having trouble deciding between a banks ram air or an airaid intake. I've heard food on both. Love to ear from people who actually own them. Thank you much

Well I can't help you with those brands but I run an AEM brute force and I love it. I also have the pre filter for it and the setup is perfect.

I have a K & N and I am satisfied with it. No problems yet.

I have the Airraid on my 2010 JKU sport (auto). It feels like there is a slight improvement in performance. If that is what you are looking at as a deciding factor then I would recommend looking for actual performance measurements online.

In regards to sound, there is a noticable increase but only when I put my foot into it. At speed it's not usually noticable.

Do you-all have tuners? Stock injectors are already maxed out 'was told '. .. more air needs more fuel, just inquiring, I'm no expert.

I have a diablosport tuner/programmer, AEM brute force intake, live wire DUI performance wires with Bosch platinum plus 4 plugs and dynomax exhaust. I have a performance tune installed and my jeep definitely has more power and acts totally different than stock. It woke up that 3.8 for sure...

I just installed the ram air intake from banks. It was easy. I notice a slight improvement in power. I also installed the flashpaq programmer (87 tune). I installed that first and noticed a slight increase in power primarily off the start and then a week later I installed the Banks and noticed yet again a slight increase in power when I push it off the start. There is a slight sound difference with the Banks Ram Air. Very subtle and only when you push up the rpms. Sounds decent. I am happy with the set up. I have a 2010 JK 4dr (I never updated my profile).

I just installed a K&N CAI. I'm very interested in a Programmer. I asked this question in another post and received an answer that is definitely is swaying me to buy a Superchips. I guess my biggest worry is the long term effects on the Jeep itself? Will I do any damage to the JK if I get a programmer???

How does it work with regards to any flash updates from Chrysler/Jeep??? Does it save that update and work from the update or does the programmer supersede the update???

Is there anything else I should know about before spending the coin and buying a programmer???

Any ideal settings people are using???

Thanks for your replys!

I have the airraid air intake. I also have a throttle body spacer. I love it.
