Jeep Jk Front Bumper Recommendations
#3
Im running the smittybilt XRC Mod without any issues whatsoever. Have been pulled from it, as well as pull out a 1 ton dodge with the winch, still no issues. Its set up as a stubby and can be modified to full width bumper. I've kept it as a stubby the entire time.
Pros:
-cheap
-serves its purpose
-can hold up to a beating (has for what I've put it through at least)
-comes powder coated unlike some other bumpers (which I am not going to pay for it to be powder coated, only to scratch it up again)
Cons:
-powder can chip and come off easily (for me like i said above, I care less as I'm not in a beauty contest)
Smittybilt Mod bumper is $399 and you can add a stinger or bull bar to it that is removable. I currently have the stinger attachment, but can easily use the bull bar and even throw on an LED light bar on it.
or they have one with the stinger already attached thats welded on ($399) and its not a mod like the one I have. (LIKE THE ONE PICTURED ABOVE MINE)
No I am not paid by them to talk about their products. I simply run them as they are cheaper, but sometimes cheap is not always the best, just depends on what you use it for or want it to look like. I will however be replacing the rear XRC bumper with the poison spyder tire carrier due to the weight and what I want to do with my Jeep.

i have the smittybuilt XRC front and rear. paid about 450 a pop shipped. took a little love with a grinder to make them fit perfect but for the price point i have no complaints.

If you like the overland style, I would go for the taktik bumpers from quadratec or warn elite. both are lighter weight than the SMITTYBILT bumpers, and constructed much better.
You want to stay as light as possible while keeping strength and quality.
