Default jeep shaking

Just put a ome hd lift in my jeep and it shakes only at 55 mph... Any thoughts on what the problem is and how to fix it?

In addition, most speed related vibes and shimmys are usually a balance issue.

Was going to say the same thing. I would check your tire balance first. If it still occurs after that then check your suspension components like track bar, drag link, and tie rod -- make sure they're tight and not loose (note: the tie rod is designed to have a little slack)

Check your tracbars first to be safe but at that speed if it goes away at 65 I would be looking at a balance issue

If your balance is correct you may find you have out of round tires. My Jeep shakes a bit at about 48 mph and I have gone through it extensively. Tire company concluded they are simply out of round.

If you just added the lift (no wheels or tires), it is likely to be you your steering system. If the alignment angles are within spec, check your torque specs as Mkjeep suggested. If they are OK, check for loose joints, the lift can put more stress on ball joints, bushings, pivots, etc., so it can magnify problems that are unnoticeable in a stock configuration.

The more details you can provide, the easier it will be for members of this forum to help you diagnose it.
